Meaning behind the work

Becoming Home is a neutral, tactile body of work focused primarily on raw linen or canvas, with charcoal, earth tones, erosion, texture, and wabi-sabi presence. The series considers how the places we pass through become internal landscapes with memory, belonging, loss, adaptation, and the continuous creation of self.

More works from this series will be released and shared at the September exhibition.

About this body of work

Earlier and ongoing abstract works rooted in atmosphere, interior space, material contrast, movement, and emotional landscape. Some pieces hold a stronger subject matter focus, leaning toward an abstract impressionist sensibility, while the larger body of work remains grounded in expression, texture, and feeling.
